Statement from PCC concerning the sale of St George's

The latest update from Peterborough City Council (PCC) concerning sale of St George’s Community Hydrotherapy Pool says:

"The potential sale of St George’s Hydrotherapy Pool was approved by the council on Wednesday 8 December as part of its phase one proposals for the 2022-23 budget. Discussions are ongoing with a private physiotherapy provider, to ensure the pool can continue offering services for the many residents who benefit from it.

If the sale goes ahead, the pool will continue to operate with the benefit of users in mind and members of the community will still be able to access the pool at affordable prices. The potential new owners are planning to make improvements to the facility which will benefit the services on offer, and give longevity to the much loved and used pool. The sale will also allow more focussed delivery of aquatic physiotherapy on a 1-1 basis.
