What are aqua circuits?

Aqua circuits are like land-based circuits but the exercises are completed in water. There are eight stations around the pool, each with a different exercise. These exercises work different parts of the body. Each exercise lasts for one minute and then everyone moves on to the next exercise. The circuit of eight exercises is repeated twice. The session always begins with group warm-up, ends with a wind-down, and is accompanied by music.

For whom are aqua circuits suitable?

Aqua circuits are suitable for anyone. However, as they are low impact, they are particularly suitable anyone who has difficulty with weight-bearing exercises on land. Every exercise can be adapted to make it easier or harder according to ability. St George’s friendly aqua instructor Amy is always on hand to support and advise.

What are the benefits?

Aqua circuits are a good, all over workout to improve fitness, stamina, strength, balance, and muscle toning amongst many things. They are very sociable and friendly too.

What our aqua circuit customers say…

"If I could, I would come and do this every day."

"I can do exercises in the water that I can’t do on land and without the pain."

"It’s the best part of my week."
