Are you visiting Lime Academy for your first hydrotherapy session? Here is some extra information that you may find helpful.

  • The road signs leading to the school say Phoenix School (the school’s former name).

  • Entrance to the school is through a set of secure gates. To gain entrance you will need to ring the buzzer (not the one marked Cherry tree Lodge) on the right-hand side. You, or a carer, will need to leave your car to access this.

  • This call will be answered by a member of staff who will open the gates so you can drive and park inside.

  • There is plenty of parking including Blue Badge spaces.

  • The pool is at the far end of car park. It is entered through another small gate. A member of staff will let you through this.

  • If attending an evening session, you may wish to consider bringing a torch so you can see more easily the dropped kerbs.

  • The member of staff will then show you through the pool hall. There is a choice of accessible changing rooms and areas.

  • Access to the pool is by tracked hoisting, a poolside hoist or steps.

  • The pool measures 10m x 4m, graduated to a depth of 1.2m, heated to 36°C and has a Jacuzzi area.

  • There is range of pool equipment as shown in the photos.

  • The sessions will overseen by member of Lime Academy staff.

  • If you have not been in a hydrotherapy pool for a while, please remember it can be tiring and it is important to keep well hydrated.

Enjoy your session!
