Update 05.10.22 - this survey closed on 4th October. Thanks to every one who took part or sent a message to our website.

We will update our website and social media with the outcome of the survey, along with details of the proposed hydrotherapy trial, once these are known.

Peterborough City Council is announcing a four-week hydrotherapy trial at Lime Academy.

For further details, please see the letter below.

To register your interest, click on the link for the on-line survey. There is only a single, tick-box question to answer.

"Dear all,

I am writing to give you an update on our active work to provide a new hydrotherapy facility in Peterborough.

After considering a number of venues, we are pleased to confirm that a four-week trial for the hydrotherapy pool at Lime Academy Trust can commence if the details below are agreeable by users.

The hydrotherapy pool is based at Lime Academy Trust, Orton Clayton Campus, Orton Goldhay, Peterborough, PE2 5SD and there is ample free parking on site.

The facility is 10m x 4m and has a jacuzzi area, heated at 36 degrees. It can be used from 5.30pm to 8.30pm Monday to Friday and 10am to 1pm on weekends, allowing for 3 x 1 hour session to be booked by users daily.

We are keen to ascertain which times would be preferable for users – please let us know by completing a short online survey, which can be accessed here: https://www.surveymonkey.co.uk/r/YJG3NFG

A paid member of staff will be present at each session to open the facility, check the pool plant and be on hand in case of an emergency. Staff will be on site 15 mins before and after each session.

The pool capacity’s is for a maximum of 10 users at a time.

The cost for the pool will be £12 per user per visit, this includes the qualified member of staff who is on site for operational purposes, access and security as well as making sure the pool and users are safe.

Sessions can be booked via the council’s service desk phone number (01733 747474) in the mornings each day or through the council’s website.

There will not be any screening or staff to talk through activity or exercises, this will purely be for use by users on their own or with paying carers.

If users are agreeable with these details, please complete the survey monkey questionnaire by Tuesday 04th October and our team will start arrangements to begin the trial shortly after, with a view to providing a facility that benefits users.

Confirmation will be sent after the survey is closed and reviewed next week with regards to start dates and times."

Kind regards,

Jamie Fenton
